Veterinary Emergency Treatment Fund was founded to help prevent pain, suffering, and euthanasia of animals due to financial constraints.  Therefore, all families living at or below the Federal Poverty Line are eligible to apply for assistance.  Unsure if you qualify?  Visit https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines to find out more.

Due to the small size of our organization, our efforts are currently restricted to the Central Virginia area (Charles City, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, Louisa, New Kent, Petersburg, Powhatan, Richmond).  Those with emergencies outside of that area, please see the “Speaking for Spot” website for resources in your area.

The size of our organization also limits our funding strictly to emergency care.  Therefore, we cannot provide funding for office visits, vaccines, dental cleanings, or routine care.  Please be advised that we also do not pay for treatments that have been performed prior to submission of your application.
