Veterinary Emergency Treatment Fund was founded to help prevent pain, suffering, and euthanasia of animals due to financial constraints.  Therefore, we require that all applicants upload verification of their annual income or proof of enrollment in federal or state assistance programs.

Due to the small size of our organization, our efforts are currently restricted to the Central Virginia area (Charles City, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, Louisa, New Kent, Petersburg, Powhatan, Richmond).  Those with emergencies outside of that area, please see the “Speaking for Spot” website for resources in your area.

The size of our organization also limits our funding strictly to emergency care.  Therefore, we cannot provide funding for office visits, vaccines, dental cleanings, or routine care.  Please be advised that we also do not pay for treatments that have been performed prior to submission of your application.

By submitting this application I agree to provide Veterinary Emergency Treatment Fund with follow-up photos and testimonials after funding and treatment have been received. I also give permission for VET Fund to use any and all photos/videos of my pet and/or family in any social media, promotional, or marketing venues that it deems appropriate.  I acknowledge that Veterinary Emergency Treatment Fund strictly provides funding for care, and is in no way responsible or liable for the outcome of the treatments provided. I agree that, should I receive funding, I will volunteer at one VET Fund event per every $200 received..
